Re: Miami Heat
As soon as that guy wasted a half hour of my life making me wait to hear him say the most infamous line in sports today, I too thought that the Heat would not win a championship this year. Not with the talent left in the East and the team that will represent the West in the championship. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Celtics, although a year older, only got better this offseason. Also, the Magic made a big time trade that I was skeptical about first but it has shown to be a major improvement for them. The Knicks record (just above .500) does not represent the potential they have to beat a team like the Heat on any given night. Do not sleep on the Bulls (Wizards have shown how deadly guard play is) or the Atlanta Hawks. From the West, no matter who the team is, they will have to be very good at defense to contain the high powered offenses of San Antonio, Dallas, Oklahoma City, both Los Angles, etc. There is no way, in my mind, the Heat will win a championship this year. However, I think it is possible they win it next year and the year after because once they start working together and that teams get some chemistry (and consistency at who's play what position) they can be deadly. P.S. I think Melo will end the season in Denver then New York will get him in offseason and not have to trade anyone to get him, he's just not worth it for this season.
